Prompt Examples by Phase
This guide provides example prompts you can use with the AI assistant at each phase of your co-design project. The more specific you are about your domain, constraints, and stakeholders, the better the AI’s responses will be.
Tip
“Help me with stakeholders” is less effective than “Identify key stakeholders for a drought monitoring service targeting wine producers in the Languedoc region.”
Phase 1 — Approaching Users
In this phase, you identify and engage potential users and stakeholders.
Stakeholder identification:
“Who are the key stakeholders for a flood early-warning system in southern France?”
“What types of end-users would benefit most from our service?”
“Can you suggest relevant European organisations working on climate adaptation?”
Partner discovery:
“What partnerships exist in the CORDIS database for drought monitoring?”
“Search for EU-funded projects related to precision agriculture and Earth Observation”
“Suggest potential partners in the water management domain”
Template creation:
“Help me create a stakeholder ID card for our regional water authority”
“Help me define the scope and constraints of our project”
“Fill in a project ID card based on what we’ve discussed so far”
Phase 2 — Co-Design Diagnosis
In this phase, you assess the technical landscape using the Data-Information-Value (DIV) framework.
Data & systems mapping:
“What Copernicus data services are relevant for soil moisture monitoring?”
“Help me identify data gaps in our current system architecture”
“What infrastructure would we need to process satellite imagery in near-real-time?”
DIV assessment:
“Guide me through the Data-Information-Value assessment for our project”
“What are the main technical integration risks with DestinE Digital Twins?”
“Compare existing solutions in the flood forecasting domain”
Integration planning:
“What APIs or data formats should we support for interoperability?”
“Help me document the integration points between our service and existing platforms”
“What are the key technical constraints we should capture in the DIV?”
Phase 3 — Workshop Sessions
In this phase, you organise workshops with users to validate needs and collect feedback.
Usefulness workshops:
“What workshop should I run to validate my users’ needs?”
“Can you propose an agenda for a Usefulness workshop?”
“What outputs should I expect from a Usefulness workshop?”
Operability workshops:
“Which exercises should I include in an Operability workshop?”
“What questions should I ask during an operability workshop to assess data feasibility?”
Usability workshops:
“How do I structure a Usability workshop to collect meaningful user feedback?”
“How do I evaluate whether my service is truly usable for my target users?”
Phase 4 — Outcomes & Sustainability
In this phase, you plan for long-term viability and define measurable outcomes.
Outcomes definition:
“Help me build an Outcomes Diagram with short, medium, and long-term milestones”
Sustainability planning:
“Guide me through the 6 dimensions of the Sustainability Canvas for my project”
“What’s a realistic sustainability model for a public-sector Earth Observation service?”
Partnership & governance:
“Which partnerships should I formalise to ensure long-term viability?”
“How do I plan capacity building so users can sustain the service independently?”
